Using Logaway responsibly

A short guide to content permissions, sharing and the limits of the service.

Share only what you have permission to share

Only add images, videos, writing and other material you have the right to use. Ask before sharing someone else’s personal information, photographs or recordings.

Do not use Logaway for unlawful content, harassment, abuse or attempts to access another person’s account or private journeys.

Understand the access you give

Sharing links can be forwarded. Editors can change or delete contributions, and journey owners control sharing, membership and journey deletion.

Before inviting someone, make sure you are comfortable with them editing the whole journal. Use a view link instead if you only want them to read it.

Keep your own copies

Keep independent backups of important writing, original photographs and videos. Logaway stores optimized photos, not originals, even with Pro video access, and local drafts can be lost if device storage is cleared.

The preview does not guarantee uninterrupted access, permanent storage or recovery of deleted content.

Use maps for memories, not navigation

Maps and routes illustrate your journal. A suggested road route may differ from the route you took. Do not rely on it for travel safety or turn-by-turn directions.
