Account and troubleshooting
Get back into your account, fix a saving problem, or understand how account deletion works.
Sign in or recover access
- Use the email address already linked to your account. If you previously used an Apple private relay address, use that recorded address rather than a different personal email.
- Request a sign-in email. Check spam or junk folders, and open the most recent message. If its link has expired, request a new one.
- On the email-sent screen, choose Use a code instead if you prefer to enter a code. This requests a six-digit email code; enter it in the app where you requested it. Links and codes expire after five minutes. Wait for the 60-second resend countdown before requesting another.
- If you have a passkey, use it on a device that can access it. If it is unavailable, use email to get back in.
There is no password to reset. Email links and codes are private sign-in credentials—never send them to someone offering to help.
Manage your name and passkeys
Open Account to update your display name or add a passkey. Give each passkey a name you will recognize, such as “Personal laptop”. You can rename or remove it later.
Adding or removing sign-in methods may require you to sign in again. Read any warning before removing a passkey so you do not lose your way back into the account.
A change has not saved
- Keep the editor open and check your internet connection. Avoid clearing browser storage while you need unsent edits.
- If Logaway offers a recovered draft, review it before applying it. Drafts belong to this device and are not guaranteed backups.
- If another editor saved a newer version, review that version before reapplying your changes. Do not assume a failed save replaced their work.
A map, image or video is not loading
Check your connection first. A media upload or video processing may still be in progress; size, format and storage errors need to be resolved before retrying it. Pro is required to upload videos, not to watch them. See Media and storage for supported files and limits; video support is in local development, not deployed yet.
If a road route fails and Retry is offered, try again once you are connected. The ordered place list is still available when a map cannot load.
For a shared journey, reopen the original sharing link. If it no longer works, ask the owner whether access has changed.
Delete your account
- Keep copies of anything you want to retain. Account deletion removes the journeys you own, not just your sign-in.
- Sign out and sign in again, then open Account & security and choose Delete account within ten minutes.
- Read the deletion notice, type DELETE, and confirm only when you are ready.
Your owned journeys, sessions and memberships are removed. Contributions to other people’s journeys remain with account attribution removed; personal details written inside those contributions are not automatically erased. Media cleanup runs in the background.
Deleting your account cannot remove copies other people already saved. See Privacy and your data for the limits on deletion and backups.
Still need help?
During the preview, contact the person who invited you to use Logaway. A monitored public support address and a verified account-deletion request channel are not yet available.
Describe what you were trying to do, the message you saw, and your device and browser. Do not include sign-in links, codes, sharing links, playback credentials or private media. If you cannot access your email or a passkey, ask your preview contact for help; do not create a different account expecting it to restore your journeys.
